Sarah’s mixed media technique is characterized by an urban, street art atmosphere with a nostalgic sentiment.  She incorporates original cut stencils with collaged or digitally manipulated photographic backgrounds which are applied onto canvas, board or reclaimed wood using a range of various image transfer techniques. Her subjects range from portraits to pop culture icons. She is also available for original, commissioned portraits.

The theme of her work usually relays the interest she believes we all have in learning more about an unfinished account from the fragments we are shown. Like the cover of a book, a single image can inspire us to imagine the longer story. Her pieces are visual fragments of fuller narratives which viewers are encouraged to complete.
